Arsenal and AC Milan set to battle once again for the 22-year-old prolific forward
Not content with meeting twice in the Europa League, Arsenal are set to go head-to-head with AC Milan again in the summer transfer window.
Talksport report that the Gunners are hot on the heels of Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, who is also a target for the Rossoneri.
Jankto has been in impressive form for the Serie A club, and the player’s agent has confirmed interest from both parties.
Representing the 22-year-old, Giuseppe Riso said of the speculation, “They are certainly contenders. Jankto is an important player.
“We decided with the Pozzo family not to talk about this question in January; to allow him to develop and mature.
“Milan and Arsenal are teams who keep an eye on young players, so we will certainly talk about it (in the summer).”
Jankto is a regular in the Czech Republic squad, having made ten appearances since his international debut last year.
The youngster prefers a central midfield role, and has featured 25 times for Udinese this season, grabbing three goals and five assists in the process.
