Arsenal midfield set to make decision on his future
Jack Wilshere is ‘considering his fate’ at Arsenal as he eyes a spot in England’s World Cup squad, according to stories.
The 25-year-old’s last England cap came in the Three Lions’ embarrassing 2-1 loss to Iceland as they were knocked out of the 2016 European Championships.
Head coach Gareth Southgate has told him that he has to be ‘playing at a good level’ to be considered for a potential return to the side.
And, as reported by The Times, the midfielder is now considering leaving the North Londoners to enhance his opportunities of regular game time before next summer’s competition in Russia.
The Englishman spent last campaign on loan at Bournemouth and managed to maintain his career by remaining mostly injury-free with the Cherries.
However, Wilshere has performed just three matches for the Gunners this season and is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League since his return to the team.
So with the footballer knowing he needs regular playing time to impress Southgate, a move away from the Emirates could be on the cards, with West Ham and Crystal Palace believed to be interested.
