Chelsea determined to sign 30-year-old Belgian big-name star
Chelsea have approached Roma to sign midfielder Radja Nainggolan. The 30-year-old heavily linked with a transfer away from Roma, with Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea. Nainggolan astonished the football world when he retired from international football last month after being dropped for Belgium’s World Cup squad.
And the midfielder now seems set for another shock move as Roma have decided to think about offers for his services this summer. Nainggolan and Roma started talks with Inter about a switch to Milan. But, negotiations have only just begun and Nainggolan prefers to join a Premier League club rather than stay in Italy.
Roma would better Nainggolan did not line up for an opponent Italian side, giving Chinese and English clubs the advantage over Inter. Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has failed in many offers to bring Nainggolan to Stamford Bridge, while United is also keen on to lure Belgian midfielder. Nainggolan doesn’t like English weather and has said in the past he would not prefer to move to the Premier League. Nainggolan scored 6 goals and made 9 assists in all competition in this season.
