Chelsea long-term target from Serie A confirms his desire to stay

Radja Nainggolan revealed that he turned down Chelsea as “a lifestyle choice” and is content at Roma.

The Brlgium Internaional was believed to be close to the English side in the summer, however finally he stayed with the Giallorossi.

“I made a lifestyle choice, I’ve been in Italy for 12 years, I feel respected here, and I didn’t want to leave all this. I’m happy where I live.” – The midfielder revealed, speaking to Sky.

Roma lost at Sampdoria on Sunday, a result which leaves Juventus four points ahaead with a game in hand.

“We’ve changed some of our results from last year because now there are some matches where we keep a clean sheet whereas last year we’d have drawn them. That gives us confidence going forward. Yesterday we could have taken three points, but we didn’t, but we’re always confident, and we hope it was just a misstep because there’s a long way to go and there’s always the chance to recover. Juventus-Inter? Inter are going strong, and they have a great Coach [Stefano Pioli]. I knew they’d recover. We hope the result goes in our favor, a draw will be fine…”
