Cheslea planning to solve major problem by landing league rivals striker

Chelsea wants to land West Ham forward Andy Carroll on loan until the end of the campaign, according to stories in the British media.

The Daily Mail is suggesting that the West Londoners have recognised Carroll as a potential backup option for Alvaro Morata at Stamford Bridge as Antonio Conte looks to reinforce his attack this month.

The Blues are believed to be in the race for attacking reinforcements, with Conte apparently not fully trusting Michy Batshuayi at the club.

The same report claims that Chelsea are interested in landing Carroll on loan until the end of the campaign, however they could struggle to finalize the deal because West Ham manager David Moyes does not want the forward to leave on a temporary agreement.

The story claims that Chelsea have made an initial “enquiry” about the chance of signing Carroll until the end of the campaign.

The 28-year-old has netted two goals in 12 Premier League matches for West Ham so far this campaign.

Meanwhile, Conte is currently preparing his team for their third-round FA Cup clash against Norwich City on Saturday evening.
