Liverpool given green light to sign £15m-rated goalkeeper

Liverpool set to sign Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope. Both Simon Mignolet and Karius are going to leave Anfield during the transfer window and Liverpool have eyed up a plenty of replacements.

The 26-year-old is available for just £15m. Pope who joined Burnley in 2016 and has a contract with the club until the end of the 2019/20 season. His fantastic season for the Clarets this term – and his recent call-up to the England squad – have paid Liverpool’s attention. He will also costs much cheaper than the Liverpool’s other goalkeeper targets.

Burnley will not want to lose their shot-stopper without a fight, although Tom Heaton’s return from injury means they could be open to offers. Pope, of course, was picked in the England squad for the 2018 World Cup. Pope will be the third goalkeeper in England after Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland.

It’s also notable that Burnley qualified for the 2018-19 Europa League. Liverpool already signed Naby Keita and Fabinho in this summer. while Emre Can has left the club after he refused to sign a new contract. Liverpool also hopes to sign Lyon star Nabil Fekir after World Cup.
