Man United given green light to make move for £50m rated youngster

Manchester United have been given the green light to make a £50m move for Fulham sensation Ryan Sessegnon.

Many top English sides have been following the full-back after he broke into the Fulham senior team at the age of 16, and the Championship side are frequently surrendered to losing the now 17-year-old in January.

The Red Devils are in the race for a new full-back having used Ashley Young in that position for much of the season, with head coach Jose Mourinho still unconvinced by the likes of Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian.

The Mirror suggests that United are set to spend up to £50m on Sessegnon to find a long-term solution for the problem space, although they could face competition for his services.

Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be interested in the starlet as a possible replacement for Danny Rose, who has himself been linked with a January move to Old Trafford.

Both teams see Sessegnon as an excellent option for a wing-back role, with the youngster having netting four times already this campaign and 11 in his 53 first-team games for Fulham.
