Man United in hunt to seal the deal for £110,000-a-week

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly consider letting Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United in the summer if their Premier League rivals meet his valuation.

The Belgian centre-half has barely played for the Lilywhites over the past four months due to a hamstring injury, most lately keeping him on the sidelines for the Champions League double-header with Juventus.

The manager Mauricio Pochettino is bothered with Alderweireld’s reluctance to secure a new deal ;and, according to The Sun, he is happy for the club to cash in before the defender’s estimate deteriorates.

The defender has been offered a rumoured £110,000 a week plus bonuses. However, he is alternately holding out for closer to the £140,000 mark.

As well as lining up any offers for the 29-year-old, the same story indicates that Tottenham may also lose full-back, Danny Rose, ahead of next campaign.

The Englishman is also on the radar of Red Devils, it is claimed, though the Red Devils know that they must first sell Luke Shaw to free up some space.
