Premier League club favourites to sign £30m rated Liverpool ace

Crystal Palace are favourites to land Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, according to the bookmakers.

Liverpool ace Mamadou Sakho spent half of the last campaign on loan with Crystal Palace where he immediately became a fan favourite.

The Frenchman turned out just eight times before sustaining a season-ending knee injury. However, it was enough to persuade Palace to make a permanent switch.

Club chairman Steve Parish had originally claimed the Selhurst Park club had been priced out of a contract for Sakho due to Liverpool’s £30million demands.

However, the transfer is now back on with bookies BetStarsmaking the London club 13/10 front runners to land the centre-back.

“Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho looks certain to leave Anfield this summer after the 27-year-old was left out of the Reds’ training tour to manager Jurgen Klopp’s homeland Germany,”

“Crystal Palace are short-priced favourites at 13/10 to sign Sakho who impressed during a loan spell at Selhurst Park last term and was even shortlisted for the Eagles Player of the Year Award, despite playing just eight matches!”

“Roma are also interested in signing the French international, and he is priced at 4/1 to move to Serie A.

“Elsewhere in the Premier League, Southampton, who are resigned to losing star defender Virgil van Dijk this window, could move for Sakho.

“A switch to the south coast for Sakho is 5/1 with BetStars.” – a BetStars spokesperson said.

Sakho played just eight Premier League games last season and spent much of the campaign in Liverpool’s reserves before joining Palace on loan in January.
