Proven goalsorer could make his move to Man United
Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi is reportedly keen to perform under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Icardi, who contract with Inter until the summer of 2021, has netted 17 Serie A goals in 19 games for the San Siro outfit during the 2017-18 season.
As reported to Don Balon, the 24-year-old is in no rush to leave Inter as he wants to help the team victory the Italian trophy. However the forward is eyeing a future move to Man United as he wants to be coached by Mourinho.
The Red Devils spent £75m on Romelu Lukaku during the summer. However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future at the club is far from secure, and the Red Devils have been linked with many attackers in recent months.
Icardi scored 24 Serie A goals for Inter last campaign, however, is well on his way to bettering that total this year.
The Red Devils, returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 2-0 triumph at Everton on New Year’s Day.
Meanwhile, Goalkeeper Sergio Romero has reportedly settled that he wants to leave Manchester United in this January transfer window.
The keeper is currently behind David de Gea in the pecking order at Old Trafford, with just five games being made in all tournaments this campaign.
The 30-year-old is still considered as number one with Argentina, however, coach Jorge Sampaoli has warned that could change should the keeper not secure first-team football in the second half of the season.
As reported by The Independent, that has led to Romero showing an interest in leaving Old Trafford before the end of the month, either on loan or a permanent base.
The report suggests that Romero who has played a total of 33 outings for The Red Devils since July 2015 has proposals from the Premier League, Spain and Argentina.
