£110,000-a-week star wants to remain at Chelsea despite several offers
The agent of the London giants midfielder Jorginho has insisted that he has had no contact with the Bianconeri amid rumours linking Chelsea star with a switch to Turin. The 28-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to the Old Lady with a possible swap agreement on the cards involving Miralem Pjanic.
While Italy international came under many scrutinies for his limited influence last campaign, Jorginho has certainly improved this year and has been a pivotal part of Chelsea manager’s plans, playing 37 matches across all tournaments while scoring seven goals and providing two assists.
However, speculation over his future at Chelsea seemingly refuses to go away, and now his agent has had to comment on the situation publicly. On the one hand, he has reemphasised his importance to London this campaign and Frank Lampard may be keen to keep him.
While he did reiterate that the Italian midfielder has a three-year deal with Blues still and that he’s doing well in the London, eyebrows could perhaps be raised over some of his other comments hinting at a possible desire to play for the Old Lady.
Juventus boss is keen on a reunion with the Italian midfielder, having worked with him at both Napoli and Blues recently, and so he is fully aware of his qualities and what Jorginho can offer.
However, the last report notes that it would take at least €40m to prise him away from the Premier League club, while it’s reiterated that a swap deal could be an option for the two sides to reach a mutually beneficial deal. Time will tell what the future holds for the 28-year-old midfielder.
