£120,000-a-week star wants to remain in Chelsea amid several offers

Willian Borges is hopeful of extending his stay at London club and hopes to win the Champions League under English coach at Stamford Bridge. Brazil international has spent six years in Chelsea, winning two PL, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the Europa League during his stay, but his current contract is due to expire at the end of 2019/20.

Talks are yet to begin between Willian and Blues chiefs over the possibility of extending his time at the London club, but he is hopeful he can stay with Chelsea.

‘From my side, I want to remain,’ Willian said. ‘I have one year left, and I want to remain because I like to play for the London club. ‘I love Chelsea, I love to live in London, and my family loves it here.

I have been here for six years already, so everything is perfect for me. ‘Of course, there is more I want to do at Chelsea, win the Champions League.‘ The 31-year-old forward joined the London club from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 with a €35m deal. He also helped his national team to win the Copa America 2019 this summer.

The Brazilian attacker is playing under his fifth coach at Chelsea, but he’s tipping former team-mate, Frank Lampard, to enjoy a long and successful stint at London club. ‘I enjoy a lot to work with him,’ Willian added. ‘He was a fantastic player, one of the best in the world, and now I hope he can become one of the best managers in the world.
