Almost Done: Liverpool on the verge to announce signing of Brazilian stopper

Liverpool have reportedly secure the services of Fluminense highly-rated goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga.

While Alisson Becker is established as the Merseyside Reds No.1  Liverpool continue to search for competition for the South American star.

According to Globo Esporte, the Merseyside giants have identified Alisson’s Brazilian compatriot Pitaluga as a long-term replacement in the future.

The report claims that the Premier League defending champions are prepared to pay £930,000 up front for the talented keeper, with the same figure being paid in add-ons at a later date.

Pitaluga is believed to be happy to pen a three-year deal, however, those terms could be extended through to 2025.

The promising possesses a German passport, something which has aided the Mersyeside Reds bid to push through the transfer.

Meanwhile, La Liga giants, Barcelona are reportedly eyeing up a shock move for Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah during the current transfer window.

With Ronald Koeman now in charge at Spanish giants, the ex-Netherlands head-coach is expected to oversee a significant overhaul of his team after replacing Quique Setien.

The Spanish giants have already been rumoured with a swoop for one Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, and according to Ajax’s record appearance holder Sjaak Swart, Salah is also on the radar of Dutch head-coach.
