Arsenal are willing to pay Thomas’ release clause of €50m. This report also states that Partey and his representatives are in talks with La Liga giants regarding a new deal. Ghana international has been a key figure for the Spanish club for a while now, playing 172 games for them across all tournaments with 15 goals and 12 assists to his name.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta would be looking to bolster their squad in the summer and the Ghanian midfielder could be a suitable signing to their squad, and there’s a good opportunity he could be a regular for them. Arsenal have poor results in the Premier League this season as they are in a 9th place in the table. The London giants signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano, Nicolas Pepe from Lille, David Luiz from Chelsea, Kieran Tierney from Celtic and William Saliba from Saint-Etienne.
Gunners also added Pablo Mari from Flamengo and Cedric Soares from Southampton in January. The English club strongly linked with RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano, Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, Valencia winger Carlos Soler, Roma star Bryan Cristante, Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi and Genk starlet Jonatha David.
