Arsenal fighting for the signature of former Real Madrid target
According to the English media outlets, Arsenal are reportedly chasing for the signature of AS Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe, who has been one of the most demanded youngsters from the League 1.
The reports from Italy claim that Serie A champions Juventus are strong admirers of the 17-year-old striker, who has been likened to Arsenal legendary striker Thierry Henry and current Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
The Gunners and Paris Saint-Germain are also named as suitors for Mbappe, who was supposedly the subject of a bid from Manchester City in the summer as well.
However, the North London club are not currently short of options up front due to the fine form of Alexis Sanchez this season, plus the summer signing of Lucas Perez.
As per the report from the Italian source Calciomercato, Arsene Wenger seems to be keeping an eye on Mbappe’s progress and could be in with a chance of landing the teenager in the future.
Also few days ago the young attacker confirmed that he snubbed Real Madrid for Monaco move: “I experienced that like a child who sees the greatest French player in history talk to him, He was touching, honest with me. It was a great moment. In the end, I didn’t join Real Madrid because I wanted to stay in my country, I didn’t want to leave so early. It wouldn’t have worked. I chose to come to Monaco and I made the right choice.” – said Mbappe.
