Arsenal in race for £20m attacker who wants to join Man United
Arsenal are reportedly keeping eyes on PSV Eindhoven attacker Hirving Lozano and could make a move in January.
The 22-year-old only moved to the Eredivisie team in June and is the league’s joint top-scorer, with six goals in six matches to date.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the Dutch side are ready to let the Mexican leave when the transfer window reopens, however, will as for aa fee of £20m for the footballer almost triple the reported £7.2m that they spent to land him from Pachuca in June.
The new outlet suggests that the Gunners’ head officials Steve Rowley has already seen Lozano play for PSV and has earmarked him as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who could depart the Emirates in January.
Manchester City were reportedly in talks over a transfer for Lozano earlier this summer before PSV secured the deal, while the footballer himself has earlier expressed his wish to join Manchester United.
