Arsenal interested in signing 19-year-old talented defender

Arsenal and Man United have sent scouts to watch CSKA Sofia defender Valentin Antov. West Ham United are also believed to be keeping tabs on the centre-back. U21 Bulgaria international has played seven games in the Bulgarian top-flight so far this campaign, as well as making two outings in the Europa League.

Valentin is also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder. The report highlights that the Red Devils and Gunners cast an eye over the ace in his side’s 0-0 draw with Ludogorets earlier today. The report also reveals that Antov became Sofia’s youngest ever debutant at just 14 years old, he even wore the captain’s armband in this game.

The 19-year-old centre-back made his debut for Bulgaria’s senior team back in March, and he certainly looks like the kind of European prospect that could prove to be a real diamond in the rough. London club and Man United’s main shortcomings this campaign have been on the defensive end of the game.

The two fallen Premier League giants are leaking goals. English club need a promising centre-back to strengthen the back-line, and Bulgarian defender is the perfect option in this situation. He has vast potential and can become a top-class centre-back if he continuous improvement.

Arsenal have terrible consequences in the Premier League this campaign as they are in an 8th place in the table. The London club signed several players during the summer transfer window like Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano, Nicolas Pepe from Lille, Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid, David Luiz from Chelsea and Kieran Tierney from Celtic.
