Arsenal interested in signing €15m-rated promising midfielder
The London giants are preparing to rival Leicester City and Sevilla in the battle for Brest player Ibrahima Diallo, who has been billed as ‘the next N’Golo Kante’, according to reports. U20 France international has enjoyed an excellent breakthrough campaign in Ligue 1, attracting interest from top clubs across Europe.
The French club turned down a £16m offer from the Foxes in winter, but manager Brendan Rodgers has retained his interest in the youngster. Gunners and Sevilla have emerged as the frontrunners to sign Ibrahima for £20m in the next transfer window.
The London giants weigh up a possible offer for the defensive midfielder, who has represented France at youth level. It’s not only Gunners interested in Diallo. Leicester City will also do everything possible to bring him to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old midfielder is under a deal at Brest until 2023. We will have to see if any of his English suitors decide to make a firm offer for the footballer.
Arsenal have sent scouts to watch the French midfielder on multiple occasions this campaign as Mikel Arteta seems to strengthen his options in midfield. The report states that the promising Frenchman would be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Ibrahima could be one of several cut-price transfer targets for Arsenal, with their spending likely to be limited due to the economic impact of the covid19 crisis. Spaniard also faces a battle to keep hold of his striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the club in the summer.
