Arsenal interested in signing €25m-rated French midfielder

The London giants supporters have been giving their takes on reports an approach for Marseille star Morgan Sanson has been made. Arsenal are in for U21 France international, with the Olympians ready to cash in on one of their top footballers to alleviate financial concerns.

Morgan has been with the Ligue 1 side since 2017 and has already played 138 games for the club. No concrete bid has yet been made by the Gunners, with the London giants are only monitoring the situation at the moment.

Gunners are seemingly in the market for a new midfielder, with Lucas Torreira again being linked with an exit from the London club. Matteo Guendouzi’s future at the Emirates also appears to be in some doubt, the Frenchman hasn’t featured for the Gunners since his altercation with Neal Maupay after the 2-1 defeat to Brighton in June.

The 25-year-old midfielder has recently been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United and has two years remaining on his deal. Ligue 1 giants valued him at nearly £32m but, with the club in need of cash, they may be forced to sell for less.

If that plays out then it would mean the London giants will need to find around £16m to make the improvement to the midfield, but they are very different footballers.

Matteo is an energetic footballer who gets around the pitch and can be rash on occasion, which can be a blessing and a curse. The French midfielder is a much more intelligent player who tends to drift around the pitch and his use of the ball is fantastic, but he won’t offer as much energy or defensive ability.
