Arsenal keep a close eye on 20-year-old talented French forward
The London giants have contacted the representatives of Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby over the possibility of a summer move, according to reports. U21 France international has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in the Bundesliga, registering four goals and five assists in 20 matches.
Moussa has attracted interest from top teams around Europe, and Gunners and Borussia Dortmund are leading the chase for his signature in the next transfer window. Diaby’s agent is said to have a good working relationship with the London giants, which could help facilitate a move.
The Bundesliga giants are hesitant to let the 20-year-old winger go and could demand up to €30m for his services. There is believed to be little chance that Bayer Leverkusen would entertain any offers for the French forward who just joined the club in 2019.
Gunners chief Raul Sanllehi doesn’t expect any big-money moves to happen in the next transfer window given the financial uncertainty over the covid19 crisis. Swap deals and signing free agents could be the order of business for the London giants, with Chelsea’s out-of-contract forward Willian a possible target.
Top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may be sold in the summer window as the Gabon international has only 14 months remaining on his current contract. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man United and Chelsea are all reportedly interested in signing the Gabonese striker.
Moussa signed a five-year contract with Leverkusen just last year after becoming frustrated by his lack of chances at Paris Saint-Germain. He has linked up well with Kai Havertz this campaign, scoring four times in 20 games so far in this season, which has sparked interest at both home and abroad.
