Barcelona given green light to sign €70m-rated Arsenal centre-forward

Gunners centre-forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly edging closer to leaving the Emirates Stadium in what will be a huge transfer blow for Arsenal. The 30-year-old striker has been in superb form for Gunners again this campaign and took his tally for the campaign to 19 goals in 30 matches in all tournaments.

However, it seems like Gunners are going to struggle to keep hold of Pierre-Emerick, with claims now emerging that talks over a new deal have majorly stalled. With both Barcelona and Inter Milan hovering for the potential signing of Aubameyang, it now seems increasingly likely that the London club will be forced into a sale this summer.

It’s been previously claimed that the London club could accept as little as £50m for Gabon international at the end of this campaign, with the centre-forward due to be a free agent at the end of the following season. The Catalan giants need a new world-class centre-forward as Luis Suarez got a severe injury and he needs back-up.

Inter Milan are looking in pole position for the Gabonese striker at the moment, with Blaugrana seeming to prioritise a move for Lautaro Martinez upfront. If the Argentine centre-forward ends up getting the big move to the Nou Camp and bolstering them upfront, it makes sense that Inter would seem at a big name like Pierre-Emerick to replace him.

Barcelona have fantastic consequences in La Liga this season as they are leading the table. Blaugrana signed Martin Braithwaite from Leganes during the winter transfer window.
