Bristol City held negotiations with 20-year-old Arsenal striker

Bristol City are reportedly interested in signing Gunners centre-forward Eddie Nketiah in winter. U21 England international impressed for the London club in their pre-season games before joining Leeds United on loan. So far, he has featured in eight games for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, scoring four goals and providing an assist.

Only two of his eight matches this campaign have been started with both of them coming in the EFL Cup. Bristol City are interested in Eddie and will try to add him in winter. Robins’ coach Lee Johnson was keen on bringing him to the club during the summer transfer window. Englishman has vast potential and can become a top-class striker.

Bristol City are currently 6th in the Championship table with 20 points, only two points behind leaders West Bromwich Albion. They have an excellent opportunity of being in the Premier League next campaign which would be their presence in the top-flight for the first time since the 1978/79 campaign.

Nketiah has done well in the chances that he has received under Argentina tactician, and there’s a good opportunity he’ll get more first-team chances provided Bristol City managed to add him. The 20-year-old centre-forward is a product of the Gunners youth academy and joined the Championship club this summer.

Arsenal started this season impressively as they are in a third place in the Premier League table. London club signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano, Nicolas Pepe from Lille, David Luiz from Chelsea, Kieran Tierney from Celtic, William Saliba from Saint-Étienne and Dani Ceballos.
