Chelsea coach planning to sell two players during the summer
Blues could reportedly look to offload both Emerson Palmieri and Victor Moses this July to give them a £30m transfer kitty boost. While their transfer ban prevented them from making signings last summer, Chelsea were relatively quiet in winter and opted against bolstering the squad with significant signings.
In turn, this summer could be the first big opportunity that the Blues manager has to stamp his mark on the squad and bring in quality to complement what Frank already has at his disposal, and perhaps to add more experience to get the correct balance in the group given the several youngsters involved.
Blues could be looking for a financial boost to up their transfer funds as both Emerson and Victor are being tipped to be sold this summer. Moses is said to have a £20m price-tag, while the latter has a £9.25m option in his current loan deal with Inter Milan to make a move permanent, as per the report above.
Given that decision to send Victor out on loan and coupled with Palmieri’s struggles to cement himself in the starting line-up this campaign, it looks like a sensible double exit from Frank Lampard and Chelsea. However, Ben is said to have a whopping £85m valuation from Leicester City, and so that could prove to be a complicated deal to make.
Nevertheless, while London club have already confirmed a deal to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax this summer, further reinforcements could also be added, but there will seemingly be exits too to raise funds and make space in the team for any new footballers.
