Chelsea could agree loan deal for talented English forward

Chelsea have informed attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi that he could be loaned out this campaign after the Blues secured the signing of the Germany international Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen.

Callum, starts were hard to come by even before the attacking trio of Kai, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech joined the club.

He started just seven top-flight games last season, and a source has confirmed to 90min that Frank has been left unimpressed by the talent’s attitude and performances in training this summer.

That has done little to endear Callum to Lampard as he was already concerned that his lack of form last term was down to a poor attitude.

In the seven starts he made, the forward often failed to make an impression and is seen as being a long way away from regular senior team action.

Callum has now been warned that he could be shipped out on loan, though it’s important to note that neither Lampard nor the management have given up on the 19-year-old.

Frank waxed lyrical about the winger shortly after he penned a lucrative deal to fend off interest from Bayern Munich, and there remains a belief that Callum can become a star for Chelsea in the future.

However, there is an acceptance that the playing time necessary to help him realise his potential may be hard to come by this term, especially if he cannot win over Frank in training.

Consequently, the head coach is now prepared to green-light a loan transfer if the right bid arrives.
