Chelsea in bidding war for €90m-rated Brazil international

Chelsea keen on signing Barcelona forward Philippe Coutinho and prepare to make a bid during the summer transfer window. London club need a new top-class winger to improve the front-line and Brazil international is the best option in this situation.

He had an excellent season and proved his worth one more time. Italian coach will do everything to sign him this July, but it won’t be easy as Man United and PSG also plan to make an offer during the transfer window. There will be a battle for the attacker, and his price could become much more.

Coutinho joined the Spanish club from Liverpool last winter with a €145m deal. In this campaign, Philippe played 54 matches, scored 11 goals and provided five assists in all competition. The Brazilian superstar has contracted with the Blaugrana until 2023, and his release clause is around €90m.

The 26-year-old attacker is a regular member of the national team and also helped them to reach the quarter-final in the 2018 Mundial, but after losing 2-0 with Belgium, they kicked out from the World Cup. Probably he will accept the correct offer from the Italian manager.

London club had an impressive result in the Premier League as they finished the tournament in a third place. Chelsea also won the Europa League final against Arsenal 4-1, and it is the first trophy for Maurizio Sarri.

English club added several footballers last summer like Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao, Jorginho from Napoli and Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid. Blues also signed Juventus centre-forward Gonzalo Higuain and Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic this January.
