Chelsea keeping tabs with 26-year-old creative Serie A forward

Federico Bernardeschi has his eye on a move to the PL should he leave Juventus this summer. Gunners, Red Devils and Blues are all interested in the forward, who has endured a difficult campaign with the Bianconeri.

It’s suggested that Italy international is keen on getting more game time under his belt after experiencing a lesser role under Maurizio Sarri, the winger could find minutes even harder to come by next campaign as attacker Dejan Kulusevski will join the ‘Old Lady’ this summer.

It’s added that Bernardeschi wants regular first-team football as he wants to ensure that he makes Italy’s squad for next summer’s delayed Euro 2020.

The 26-year-old winger is set to test himself abroad for the first time in his career. Interest from Chelsea and Red Devils could be particularly intriguing, as Serie A giants could be involved with either club in possible swap deals to land the likes of Paul Pogba, Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri.

The Italian winger will be hoping that he can play a more essential role once Italian football resumes after a hiatus due to the covid pandemic. Federico has just registered one goal, and one assist in 24 games across all tournaments this campaign, Bernardeschi has also just started in half of these games.

Federico’s natural position is as a forward, but he’s been primarily deployed in a central attacking midfield role this campaign. Man United are in particular need of reinforcements in the wide areas, the Red Devils have less option here now that Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are used as centre-forwards.
