Chelsea renewed talks with No.10 South American attacker
Blues are said to be set to fork out as much as £64m to bring Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho back to the Premier League.
Brazil international has struggled to adapt to life back in La Liga following his transfer to Blaugrana from Liverpool in winter 2018, something that eventually leads to the footballer joining Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich on loan earlier this year.
Unlike during his time with the Catalan club, Philippe failed to hit the ground running at the Allianz Arena, with the attacker bagging only two goals and four assists in 15 games for the German club since his arrival.
Things haven’t exactly gone swimmingly for Coutinho and his career these past few years, however, it now looks like the playmaker is going to be offered a route back to Premier League by Frank Lampard’s side.
Bavarians want to get rid of the 27-year-old attacker, with the club already telling the Spanish giants that the winger that they’ll be sending the player back to the Nou Camp once his loan deal expires.
It’s also stated that Inter Milan and Liverpool are interested in signing him, with the Blues also in the battle, with the London club even willing to pay as much as €75m to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
With footballers like Pedro and Willian now in their 30’s, Chelsea are surely going to have to dip into the transfer market soon to bolster their options out-wide. The Brazilian attacker is the best option in this situation as he perfectly knows the Premier League.
