Confirmed: Arsenal out-of-favour midfielder set to stay at Emirates Stadium next season

The agent of Arsenal attacking midfielder, Mesut Ozil has claimed that his client will not be departing from the Emirates Stadium during the summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old has not played a single minute of football for the North London club since the restart and continues to be rumoured with a move away from the team ahead of the 2020-21 season.

However, according to the ex-Germany international’s agent Erkut Sogut, Ozil will stay with Mikel Arteta’s side during the summer before likely departing on a free transfer at the end of next campaign.

“I don’t think Mesut will leave before the summer of 2021,” Sogut told Fanatik. “He’s got an ongoing contract that hasn’t changed. He will stay with Arsenal.

“When his deal is up, I estimate there is a 90% chance he will leave Arsenal. Maybe Asia, America, Turkey? Who knows.”

Former Real Madrid stars wages at the North London club, who will take on London rivals the Blues in Saturday’s FA Cup final match, are believed to be in the region of £350,000 per week.

Arsenal another midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, on the other hand, could be on his way out from the Emirates Stadium as Mikal Arteta has been disappointed with the player’s behaviour.
