Deal Close: Man United midfielder set for a new bumper contract
Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini is reportedly close to signing a new deal at Manchester United, as reported by Transfermarketweb.
The Premier League giants, who thrashed rock-bottom Crystal Palace 4-0 at Old Trafford in the top-league at the weekend, are set to give the central midfielder with a new contract after his improving start to the 2017-18 season.
The 29-year-old, who has 76 international caps for his nation, has netted four goals and made one assist in eight games in all tournaments for The Red Devils so far this campaign – helping his side sit joint-top of the Premier League table, level on points (19) with direct rivals Manchester City.
The Belgian star, who scored a brace against Palace on Saturday, has started United’s last three league matches under head coach Jose Mourinho, after three consecutive substitute displays at the start of the term.
The central player, who is now on international duty with Belgium before of their final 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, has netted 19 goals in 141 matches overall for The Red Devils after his £27.5m arrival from Everton back in September 2013.
