Done Deal: Man United midfielder joined Shandong with €12m deal

Man United footballer Marouane Fellaini joined Shandong Luneng with a €12m deal. He wanted to get a regular place in starting line-up and preferred to move to China during the winter transfer window. Belgium international started this campaign excellently but after Mourinho left the club he moved to the bench. Norwegian manager wants to give chance Ander Herrera who is in fantastic form.

Monaco and Milan were also keen to sign him but the deal failed. Fellaini joined the Red Devils from Everton in 2013 with a £33m deal. He was one of the best midfielders in Premier League and a key figure for the club. In this campaign, Marouane played 21 games, scored 2 goals and made 2 assists in all competition. This is a good result and he can do much more with his new club.

The Belgian midfielder is contracted with Shandong Luneng until 2021 and his release clause is nearly €20m. He is a regular member of the national team and also helped them to finish the 2018 World Cup in a third place which is already a big achievement for the footballer. Man United also signed Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer and there was no place for the 31-year-old player.
