€30m-rated Blues target set to pen long-term contract with the club
Bournemouth are ready to hand centre-forward, Callum Wilson, a lucrative new five-year contract in the hope of fending off interest from Chelsea and other clubs. Callum has battled through career-threatening knee injuries to establish himself as one of the most prolific centre-forwards in the Premier League, as well as a senior England international.
His good performances for the Cherries have put both Blues and West Ham on alert. Both clubs have required firepower in their respective front lines. However, Cherries do not appear prepared to allow him to leave. The new five-year deal will be proposed to England international, which would bank him as much as £100k-a-week.
Wilson joined Bournemouth from Coventry in 2014 with a €4m deal. He is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and a key figure for the club. In this campaign, Callum played 33 games, scored 15 goals and provided ten assists in all tournaments.
It is an impressive result, and he can improve his consequences during the next season. English centre-forward has contracted with the Cherries until 2022, and his release clause is around €30m. He also named in the Three Lions squad several times which is already a big success for the footballer.
Chelsea unable to sign new footballers this summer due to a transfer ban. While we are admirers of the 27-year-old striker and appreciate the way he has worked himself up to this level, he’s not better than Michy Batshuayi, nor does he have a higher ceiling than Tammy Abraham.
