EPL club continue chase for Arsenal exciting forward
Eddie Nketiah has attempted to make an impression at Arsenal after starting in several matches under Mikel Arteta but it is thought that the north Londoners are now considering sending the attacker out on loan again.
The 21-year-old star was sent out on loan last term to newly promoted Leeds and enjoyed a great start to the season netting three goals in the first eight games but Arsenal ended up recalling the player due to his lack of game time.
According to the Telegraph, Newcastle are now keen on taking the striker on loan, as they plan to boost their strike force for the upcoming season.
Nketiah should be feeling very confident after his stunning performance for England Under 21s, where he netted a hattrick in a 6-0 win against Kosovo.
As it stands, loaning the 21-year-old ace out would be a risk as Arsenal are not blessed with options upfront as Alexandre Lacazette looks to be out of favour and Gabriel Martinelli is injured.
However, if Arteta decides that a loan is what is best for Nketiah, then the Magpies could be a good destination as the youngster would be playing Premier League football and he would be joining a team who are in desperate need of a consistent forward, so he should see plenty of action too.
In other news, Arsenal are reportedly willing to keep Rob Holding at the Emirates Stadium for the 2020-21 term.
Holding made just 18 appearances in all competitions during a turbulent 2019-20 campaign, and the ex-Bolton Wanderers man has just under three years left to run on his current contract with the Gunners.
