Euro giants intensified efforts to sign out-of-favour Man United star
Juventus have stepped up on their attempts to land Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian during the summer transfer window.
The defender has been a little part player at Manchester United this campaign and is expected to be on the list of footballer Jose Mourinho is preparing to offload in the coming months.
Despite his decreased status at Old Trafford, the ex Torino man stay an attractive option in Italy and Juventus have been considering landing him in the summer.
Juventus were reportedly also looking at other options before falling back on Darmian, but it appears the club have decided to move ahead with their efforts to land the Manchester United ace.
And as reported by the Turin-based daily Tuttosport, the Italian giants have picked up the pace in their talks with the Manchester United defender’s officials over a transfer.
The Italian still has a deal until the end of next campaign with The Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will reportedly reject to offload Marcus Rashford at the end of the campaign.
The 20-year-old is believed to be considering his future at Old Trafford after becoming disappointed with his lack of starts since Alexis Sanchez moved to the club during the January transfer window.
But, according to ESPN FC, The Red Devils are not set to offload the Englishman and will turn down any offers that come in this summer’s transfer window.
Rashford has played in 97 of United’s 112 games since Jose Mourinho arrived as manager. However, the winger has struggled to hold down a starting spot in the Portuguese’s first XI this term.
The academy product, who has 12 goals in 44 games for his club during the 2017-18 season, signed a four-year deal with the English side in 2016.
