Euro giants joined Arsenal in race for £16m rated Real Madrid ace

AC Milan have set their hopes on Arsenal and Liverpool target Dani Ceballos.

The 21-year-old has been mentioned as a future champion of Spanish football, and he moved to Real Madrid in the summer from Real Betis.

Before joining them from Real Betis for around £16m, the midfielder had been linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool after starring at the European Under-21 Championship in the summer.

After moving to Real Madrid anyone else’s hopes of landing Ceballos appeared dead but, according to Sport, Milan have not given up.

The Italian side are reportedly ready to test Madrid’s resolve, and they believe they have a chance of getting the youngster.

Ceballos has started just one league game this season and Milan are ready to offer him the regular football in the hope it will tempt him into leaving.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Spurs could fight in January for the signature of PSG star Adrien Rabiot – however, it is Inter who are in pole position.

That comes form Calciomercato, who suggest the Serie A side could renew their interest in Rabiot from three seasons ago to trump the north London pair.

The 22-year-old is yet to sign fresh terms at PSG with his current contract set to end in the summer of 2019.

PSG are unwilling to let him go as he is a homegrown player. He performed in 39 games the last campaign, netting four goals.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has left his footballers in no doubt that a repeat of the capitulation at Liverpool will be unacceptable.

The North Londoners go to Stamford Bridge this evening to face champions Chelsea, a ground where they have not won since 2011.

And Wenger understands that a repeat of the tame display at Anfield two weeks ago will see that record extended.

He held a long inquest into that 4-0 humiliation when the footballers returned from international duty, and he made his feelings known.

“Just not good enough,” was his advice.

According to CIES Adrien Rabiot’s current market value is €30.7m.
