European clubs keen on signing £120,000-a-week Chelsea forward

London club attacker Willian Borges is reportedly in no hurry to sign a new deal at Chelsea despite transfer interest from Barcelona and Juventus. The 31-year-old winger has been a key figure for the London club down the years and would be a big loss if he were to leave the Stamford Bridge any time soon.

Despite being 31, it looks top clubs are reasonably confident that Borges still has a few years left at the highest level as Blaugrana and Bianconeri are interested in signing him. It stays to be seen if Willian will join either team, but he’d be particularly open to an offer from the Catalan club.

London club have an exciting young team developing this campaign so might not miss Brazil international too much, even if they could do with a few experienced heads around the squad. He is a regular member of the national team line-up and also helped them to win the 2019 Copa America.

Although the Blues surely has a very bright future with the likes of Hudson-Odoi, Mount and Pulisic coming through in the attacking midfield department, it could help to have the option of someone like Brazilian winger to relieve the pressure on them and also give them some guidance on how to stays consistent at the highest level.

Borges is heading towards being a free agent at the end of this campaign, and one imagines he’ll attract other big-name suitors if he continues to stall on signing a fresh Chelsea contract. In this season Willian already played 15 matches, scored three goals and provided three assists in all tournaments.
