European giants in the hunt for €100m-rated Chelsea midfielder
Real Madrid and Juventus are reportedly looking ready for a transfer battle over £70m-rated Chelsea star N’Golo Kante. The 28-year-old star has been one of the finest defensive midfield footballers in the world in recent times and certainly seems like he could be an ideal fit for a supper club like Los Blancos or Bianconeri.
N’Golo linked with these two Champions League clubs, and it’s suggested £70m could be enough to persuade Blues to do business. This would surely be unwise, however, with Chelsea suffering after losing both Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard in successive summers.
Kante is a hugely essential and experienced member of Frank Lampard’s otherwise youthful team, and fans would surely be gutted to see this popular figure leave London club.
While the likes of Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham have stepped up this campaign, it looks a huge gamble to believe another of the club’s youngsters could step up once again to help fill the void left by France international.
Few in world football can offer the combination of quality and work rate of French star, so Chelsea surely need to either cling on as much as possible or at least raise that asking price well beyond £70m. Juventus added Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot, Matthijs de Ligt, Merih Demiral and Danilo.
Real Madrid signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Eden Hazard from Chelsea, Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt, Ferland Mendy from Lyon, Rodrygo Goes from Santos, Eder Militao from Porto and Alphonse Areola from PSG.
