Everton join the race to sign 23-year-old Man United transfer target

Toffees are reportedly ready to rival Red Devils for the transfer of Lyon centre-forward Moussa Dembele as they keep tabs on him ahead of winter. U21 France international looks a top talent who could shine at a bigger club and in a more competitive league after a promising start to his career so far.

Moussa initially caught the eye in spells at Fulham and Celtic, and he’s now continuing his prolific form with the Les Gones, having scored five goals in four matches this campaign, after hitting 20 in all tournaments last term. He has a vast potential and can become a top-class centre-forward if he continuous improvement.

This recently Dembele linked with Man United, and now Everton could also be suitors for the 23-year-old centre-forward after their poor start to the campaign. It looks clear both these clubs could benefit from having more firepower front-line after their recent struggles, and the French striker seems an ideal solution.

Moussa would likely cost nearly £40m, which could be a bargain in this market if he can take his form with him to the Premier League. Dembele has contracted with the Ligue 1 giants until 2023, and French club also want to offer him a new long-term deal.

Everton started this season badly as they are in an 18th place in Premier League table. Toffees signed several players during the summer transfer window like Moise Kean from Juventus, Djibril Sidibe from Monaco, Andre Gomes from Barcelona, Alex Iwobi from Arsenal, Fabian Delph from Man City and Jean-Philippe Gbamin from Mainz.
