Hammers eager to sign €35m-rated Arsenal long-term target
West Ham United are desperate to sign Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic and ready to compete with Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham for the footballer. Manuel Pellegrini wants to improve the attack, and his primary target is Croatia international who has an impressive season and proves his worth one more time.
Robert Snodgrass already 31-year-old, Andrii Yarmolenko has a severe injury, Marco Arnautovic linked with several clubs, and they need back-up. Chilean manager will do everything to add him this summer, but it will be difficult as Gunners, Red Devils and Spurs also planning to make a bid during the transfer window.
There will be a battle for the player, and his price could become much more. Perisic joined the Nerazzurri from Wolfsburg in 2015 with a €20m deal. He is one of the best wingers in Serie A and a key figure for the club. In this season, Ivan already played 39 matches, scored seven goals and made eight assists in all tournament.
Croatian attacker has contracted with the Italian club until 2022, and his release clause is around €40m. Hammers have a good result in the Premier League as they are in an 11th place in the table and have a big chance to finish this tournament in top 10.
English club signed several players last summer like Felipe Anderson from Lazio, Fabian Balbuena from Corinthians, Jack Wilshere from Arsenal, Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina, Andrii Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund, Issa Diop from Toulouse, Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea and Ryan Fredericks from Fulham. West Ham United also added French attacker Samir Nasri this January with a free deal.
