Inter Milan keen on signing €25m-rated Chelsea left-back
Nerazzurri are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso in the summer. Spain international hasn’t been much of a regular under Frank Lampard this campaign, featuring in 15 games with a goal with Magpies and three assists to his name.
Antonio Conte is interested in reuniting with Marcos. This report also claims that Blues wants €30m for Alonso, an amount Inter Milan are not too willing to pay. The 29-year-old defender has found it hard to be a regular for Chelsea this campaign with Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson being preferred ahead of him.
The Spanish left-back hasn’t played a single Premier League game for Chelsea since their 2-0 victory over Tottenham on December 22. Hence, Marcos might prefer a move away from the club for more playing time. Alonso is capable of doing well in the left midfield position where the Italian tactician would most likely deploy him.
Nerazzurri currently have the likes of Kwadwo Asamoah, Cristiano Biraghi and Ashley Young. Provided they manage to sign Marcos, there’s a good opportunity he could start as he was fairly good under Antonio Conte at Chelsea. Inter Milan have excellent consequences in the Serie A this campaign as they are in a third place in the table.
Nerazzurri signed several players during the summer transfer window like Romelu Lukaku from Man United, Nicolo Barella from Cagliari, Stefano Sensi from Sassuolo, Diego Godin from Atletico Madrid, Gabriel Brazao from Parma, Ionut Radu from Genoa, Alexis Sanchez from Man United and Valentino Lazaro from Hertha BSC.
