Italian club are closely monitoring No.9 Chelsea transfer target
Napoli are closely monitoring Inter Milan centre-forward Mauro Icardi and set to battle with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Juventus and Atletico Madrid for the player. Little Donkeys have problems in the attack as Dries Mertens already 32-year-old, Arkadiusz Milik linked with several clubs, and they need replacement.
Argentina international is the best choice in this situation as he also wants to leave Inter Milan and ready to listen to offers from European clubs. Carlo Ancelotti will do everything to add him this summer, but it will be difficult as Blues, Los Blancos, Old Lady and Los Rojiblancos also planning to make a bid during the transfer window.
There will be a contest for the attacker, and his price could become much more. The 26-year-old striker joined the Nerazzurri from Sampdoria in 2013 with a €14m deal. He is one of the best centre-forwards in Serie A and a key figure for the club.
In this season, the Argentine striker played 37 matches, scored 17 goals and provided five assists in all competition. It is a fantastic result, and he can do much more during the next campaign. Icardi has contracted with the Italian club until 2021, and his release clause is around €80m.
He is a regular member of the Albiceleste line-up which is already a great achievement for the centre-forward. Probably Mauro will accept the correct offer from the Italian manager. Napoli had a good result in Serie A as they finished the tournament in a second position and got the Champions League ticket. Little Donkeys lost the both Europa League quarter-final games with Arsenal and kicked out from the competition.
