La Liga giants in the battle to sign €90m-rated Man Utd transfer target
Red Devils potential move for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz is in doubt as the talented youngster prefers a move to European giants Real Madrid. Germany international is valued at nearly £80m and that he’s attracting the interest of other top clubs like Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
Los Blancos are winning the race to sign Kai as they’re already holding advanced conversations to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu. It’s also claimed that Havertz prefers a move to the La Liga club because he’s more hopeful of getting minutes with the Spanish giants compared to the other powerhouses that are vying for his signature.
Since the start of the last campaign, the 20-year-old playmaker has managed to bag a total of 19 goals and four assists in the Bundesliga. German attacker’s impressive versatility should also appeal to top clubs, with the star comfortable playing as a right-winger, central attacking midfielder or even as a right-sided forward.
Kai already has seven senior caps to his name for Germany, he could be Joachim Low’s main man heading into Euro 2020. Havertz would have the opportunity to learn from Zinedine Zidane if he moves to Real Madrid. He could have the chance to pick up some skills that Zizou used to establish himself as one of the playmakers of his generation.
Los Blancos started this campaign impressively as they are in a second place in the La Liga table. Real Madrid signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt, Eden Hazard from Chelsea, Rodrygo Goes from Santos, Eder Militao from Porto, Ferland Mendy from Lyon and Areola from PSG.
