Leicester City cool interested in €20m-rated Liverpool midfielder

It looks that some people are putting two and two together and making five. At least that’s the impression Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers has. Southampton are also interested in signing the English midfielder and planning to make an offer during the summer transfer window.

His former footballer, Adam Lallana, who signed for Reds when Brendan was coach of the Anfield club, has been linked with a move to the Foxes, but the northern Irishman have insisted that he does not approach. “I’ve seen a lot of stuff around Lallana and that we’ve approached Reds and whatnot, which isn’t the case.”

“But Adam is a wonderful player and not only that he’s got a good attitude.” Now aged 31, Aam’s Reds career has been hit by injuries over the past couple of campaigns. In his general absence, Liverpool have become European champions and are odds on to win their first-ever Premier League trophy at some point in the next few weeks.

There’s not too much doubt that England international still has the skill set to be a useful asset at a top-flight club, but unless Leicester decides to ship out a few footballers of their own, it’s hard to see how the 31-year-old midfielder could fit into the Foxes’ starting lineup.

Leicester City have fantastic results in the Premier League this campaign as they are in a third place in the table. The Foxes signed several footballers during the summer transfer window like Youri Tielemans from Monaco, Ayoze Perez from Newcastle United, Dennis Praet from Sampdoria and James Justin from Luton.
