Liverpool are closely monitoring €90m-rated Bundesliga playmaker

Merseyside club have reportedly been given fresh hope of sealing the transfer come back of Philippe Coutinho next summer. The 27-year-old attacker was linked with the Merseyside club in the last transfer window but ended up joining Bayern Munich on loan instead.

There’s now talk that Philippe could join Bundesliga giants permanently as Blaugrana prepare to open talks over a €120m deal, though he could also still end up back in the Premier League if this fails. It stays to be seen if Reds would take up the option to re-sign Coutinho, but there was the talk of interest from the German coach.

One imagines Merseyside club could still do with an attacking talent of his calibre in their ranks, even if Brazil international hasn’t been at his best for some time. Philippe now looks to be returning to peak form with Bavarians, and that could make other clubs sit up and take notice if he doesn’t complete a permanent move to the Allianz Arena.

Man United, Arsenal and Tottenham were also linked with Brazilian star in the summer, while Chelsea could surely also be contenders for his signature as he’d be an ideal replacement for Eden Hazard. Coutinho is a regular member of the national team starting line-up and also helped them to win the 2019 Copa America.

Liverpool need a new creative attacker as Adam Lallana already 31-year-old, Naby Keita is in terrible form, and they need back-up. There will be a real contest for the attacker during the summer transfer window, and his price could increase and become much more.
