Liverpool are desperate to sign No.10 Brazil international
Reds could reportedly try to re-sign Philippe Coutinho in the summer transfer window as Bavarians seem ready to be able to out-spend them on Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz. Kai or Philippe could give the Reds another dimension to their game, and Bayern paying big for the former could give Liverpool a chance to snap up the latter.
The Merseyside giants could perhaps do with the signing of this type as teams increasingly get used to their playing style, based on a solid midfield with most of the creativity coming from attack-minded full-backs Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson. Jurgen Klopp wants to bolster the midfield during the summer transfer window.
It stays to be seen if Reds will decide to go for Brazil international after his spectacular dip in form since leaving Anfield, with Coutinho flopping at Barcelona and during his time on loan at Bayern. It, therefore, makes sense that the Bavarians might choose not to keep Coutinho permanently, and go for Kai instead.
German giants are confident Merseyside club won’t pay the £93m required to sign Havertz this summer. Liverpool have fantastic consequences in the Premier League this campaign as they are leading the table. Premier League club signed Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg in January.
Reds signed several players during the summer transfer window like Sepp van den Berg from Zwolle, Harvey Elliott from Fulham, Spanish shot-stopper Adrian and English goalkeeper Andy Lonergan. English club heavily linked with RB Leipzig centre-forward Timo Werner, Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish and PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.
