Liverpool closely monitoring €20m-rated Premier League winger

Reds are working on a deal to sign Bournemouth forward David Brooks this summer in a move likely to cost nearly £35m. Various reports suggest Liveroiik are trying to win the race for Wales international’s signature, with the likes of Spurs and Toffees also mentioned as possible contenders for the impressive winger.

David shone in his time in the PL with the Cherries, who are now bound to lose their best footballers this summer after suffering relegation to the Championship. Bournemouth have already seen Man City swoop in for centre-back Nathan Ake, and now face losing Brooks, as well as Reds, step up their interest.

The 23-year-old forward has had his injury troubles lately, but in general, seems a top talent and like someone who could add depth to the German manager’s squad. Reds are set to lose Adam Lallana at the end of his deal, while Xherdan Shaqiri is also expected to leave Liverpool after being told he’s surplus to requirements.

The Welshman could be an upgrade in that squad player role, giving Jurgen more depth in the playmaker department with a footballer who will surely continue to improve in the future. Reds have also agreed an £12m fee with Olympiakos for Kostas Tsimikas and the 24-year-old defender is en route to Liverpool for a medical.

Greece international will sign a four-year contract and act as back-up for Andy Robertson after Reds refused to meet Norwich City’s £20m asking price for Jamal Lewis. Having missed most of last campaign with an ankle injury, it looks fitting the 23-year-old attacker is seen as the perfect replacement for the recently departed Adam Lallana.
