Liverpool closely monitoring sought after Inter Milan striker

Inter Milan striker Andrea Pinamonti has reportedly developed as a transfer target for Liverpool.

The Merseyside club are already well-stocked for forwards, with Danny Ings, Dominic Solanke and Ben Woodburn all considered options behind Roberto Firmino.

But, as reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is considering an approach for another top European talent in Pinamonti.

The 18-year-old is highly rated at San Siro, but the teenager has only been given two appearances in the first team during the current season, taking his overall tally to five games.

The striker still has over three years left on his deal, but it seems that Liverpool are one of many clubs who could test Inter’s resolve during the summer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly agreed a contract with RB Leipzig where Naby Keita’s price is dependant on the club’s finishing place in the Bundesliga.

Last summer, an agreement was reached for Keita to make a move to Anfield ahead of the 2018-19 campaign after helping his club into the Champions League for the first time in their history.

But, as reported by Sky Sports News, the financial terms were not concluded and would only be determined by how RB Leipzig fare in Germany’s top flight this campaign.

Leipzig could probably finish in any place between second and 11th place, and a top-four place would lead to Liverpool having to spend a figure of £59m.

But, ending the season in fifth or sixth place which is where they currently sit would lead to a reduction to £52.75m, while seventh and below would see Liverpool pay £48m.

Keita has scored six goals and made five assists in 25 games in the Bundesliga this campaign.
