Liverpool held negotiations with €30m-rated Spanish forward
The Merseyside giants are eyeing new additions ahead of next campaign and Wolverhampton winger Adama Traore has emerged as a target for the German boss. This comes shortly after Liverpool became PL champions after Chelsea beat Man City 2-1 at London confirming Reds as this campaign’s title winners.
Liverpool boss is a keen admirer of Spain international who has scored four goals and racked up nine assists for Wolves in 23 games so far this campaign. Adama would supposedly cost nearly €60m, according to the report, and that could be a bargain for a fine footballer who seems a perfect fit for Liverpool.
Traore would surely be an impressive fit at Liverpool with his strength, lightning pace, crossing ability and direct running and the forward would provide much-needed cover for Reds current front three of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool boss could make a move for the Spanish forward this summer, however, they report that Blaugrana and Real Madrid are also keen on signing the attacker in this summer’s transfer window. Liverpool boss already has perhaps the best front three in world football in the form of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Still, it might be hard for him to turn down Real Madrid and Barcelona, especially as he had a spell with the latter earlier in his career and maybe keen to prove himself there if given a second chance. Los Blancos, meanwhile, could surely also give him a key role as they need a long-term back-up for the ageing and under-performing Gareth Bale.
