Liverpool on the verge of losing 20-year-old target to La Liga giants

Spanish side Atletico Madrid have made a move for Manchester United and Liverpool target, Trabzonspor youngster Yusuf Yazici.

Turkish outlet Hurriyet suggests Atletico have made a €14million offer for the footballer, who is being watched by the Premier League giants.

The 20-year-old winger has impressed with a pair of assists this season. However, Trabzonspor does not want to offload him in January. However, they are ready to hold negotiations over the player’s future this winter.

Fanatik earlier reported that Manchester United and Liverpool were keen on Yazici. While Monaco are now understood to be lining up an offer to equal Atletico’s bid.

Yazici, who only secured a new deal in March this year, still has five seasons left on his contract with the Super Lig side, however, if he left for €14million, he would become the second most valuable Turkish international.

Cengiz Under moved ot Roma on a €15million move from Basaksehir last campaign.

Yazici netted six goals and made ten assists in 22 games last campaign for the club he joined as a youth footballer nine seasons ago.

Liverpool and United’s interest has already been well shown, and Ronald Koeman’s Everton are also believed to have had the footballer watched, as reported by the Daily Star.

Yazici played his debut for the senior Turkey international team in June and made an assist in their victory over Kosovo.

But, in August Trabzonspor chairman Muharram Usta claimed: “I want to see Yusuf here for our 50th-year anniversary squad.

“He will be sold when the time is right, Yusuf will be an ambassador for the club and reach the highest level.”
