Liverpool planning surprise move for No.7 World Cup winning attacker
Merseyside club have reportedly joined the battle to sign PSG forward Kylian Mbappe who is also wanted by Real Madrid. France international has established himself as one of the best players in the world through his displays for the Ligue 1 giants. He is a key figure for the Parisians and scored many incredible goals since joining.
Kylian has netted 69 goals while providing 36 assists in 98 matches across all tournaments since joining PSG from Monaco. This campaign, Mbappe missed a few matches due to injury, but his displays have been pretty impressive so far, amassing nine goals and four assists in 11 games across all tournaments.
The 20-year-old forward has been linked to Los Blancos with La Parisien claiming that the La Liga giants will make a move for him following the end of the campaign. Now, Merseyside club are also interested in signing the French star who is valued at €200m. There will be a contest for the winger, and his price could increase and become much more.
Kylian’s addition would undoubtedly strengthen Liverpool squad that’s already one of the best in the world now. However, the question is, how would Mbappe fit in the team with the presence of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. Liverpool have a great chance to bolster the front-line much more.
Provided Salah or any of the front three leaves, then Frenchman would be a suitable addition. The German coach could also use Firmino as a central attacking midfielder and the World Cup winner as a centre-forward if he wants an attacking quartet.
