Liverpool set to face competition for £21m want away striker

Liverpool could reportedly face competition from Valencia in their bid to sign Jese Rodriguez from Paris St-Germain.

The 23-year-old attacker, only moved in to PSG in August, joining for just £21m from Real Madrid.

However, he has had a miserable spell in the Ligue 1, starting in just one of his nine top-flight matches for Unai Emery’s team.

And, as the Plaza Deportiva reports, Liverpool could make offer this month and give him an opportunity to end his frustrating spell at PSG.

But, time may be of the essence for Liverpool with a La Liga clubs pair believed to be keen to take the attacker back to his country.

One team is obviously are Valencia who have reportedly joined Las Palmas, Liverpool and Italian giants Roma in the race for Jese, who has played five games for Spain at Under-21 level.

Armando Ufarte, the player’s representative, has already announced that his client wants away from the France capital.

“Nothing has been decided, mainly because there is still several weeks until the end of winter market, What is certain is that Jese sees his future away from PSG. He expects to choose the best among the proposals received and in the meantime he trains every day to be physically fit when he returns to playing.

“He has ambition, wants to keep growing. I speak a lot with him, he knows that we will work to find the best alternative for his career.” – He Added.
